From the Desk of Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District

SPCN
It is a great honour for me to lead the prestigious police force of Nicobar District which is southernmost district of India. Nicobar District due to its remoteness and connectivity issues poses distinctive challenges for policing. Nicobar District primarily consists of tribal reserved area and hence it is also duty of the local police to protect the area from any unwanted outside intrusion. Nicobar District consists of 05 Police Stations, 05 Out Posts and 01 LOP (Look out Post). These units are distributed over a distance of 260 Kms and which are situated on almost different islands. Hence each Police Station has to handle any crisis independently as reinforcements take considerable time due to harsh weather and generally rough sea.
But I assure the citizens of the Nicobar District that Nicobar Police is committed to serve them professionally and with utmost sincerity inspite of all the odds. I seek your support and wholehearted participation in our efforts to deliver the best of services by providing a peaceful, safe and secured atmosphere to all sections of the society.
