  • To improve community policing and to aware school children, Nicobar Police conducted awareness workshops at the following schools- GSSS Malacca, GSS Kakana, GMS Tapoiming, GSS Arong, GMS Kinmai, GSSS Sawai, GSSS Lapathy, GSS Mus, GSS Tamaloo, JNV Arong from 23rd December, 2019 to 02nd January, 2020.
  • As a part of celebration of Police Raising Week from 16/01/2020 to 22/01/2020, the Nicobar District Police conducted Grand Finale of Nicobar Idol in dancing and singing on the evening of 17/01/2020 at BJR Stadium, Car Nicobar.
  • IGP, A&N Police Shri Sanjay Kumar, IPS inaugurated the Sawai Quarters at Car Nicobar in the presence of DIGP, A&N Police Shri Vijay Singh, IPS, SP Nicobar Shri Rajeev Kumar IPS, Tribal Council Leaders, Officers from local administration, APWD, IAF and Police.
  • First Dr. B. Srikant Memorial Half Marathon organized by Nicobar Police during the Police Raising Week was huge success. More than 1000 persons registered for the marathon and more than 900 actually participated.
  • This half marathon was organized with the dual aims – First to promote women empowerment under “BetiBachao, BetiPadao” and second to highlight the sacrifices made by our brave uniformed personnel in the service of our Nation.
  • On 19.02.2019 Cyber awareness Programme was conducted at conference hall of SP (D) N office for all the local shopkeepers and villagers.
  • Nicobar District Police celebrated Police Raising week from 16th to 22nd January, 2019 by conducting visit of school children to local PS, Fishermen Watch Group Meetings, School visits by police staff for organizing awareness programs on Cyber Crime, POCSO & Road Safety.
  • On 08.03.2019, International Women Day was celebrated at SP conference hall. Women officers were awarded for their contribution to professional policing in Nicobar District.
  • On 17.01.2019 Shri Dependra Pathak, IPS DGP A&N islands alongwith his wife Smt. Geeta Pathak, Shri Vimal Anand Gupta,IPS, DIGP A&N Islands along with his wife Smt. Arti Gupta and other senior officers of A&N Police visited Car Nicobar.
  • On 18.01.2019 Shri Dependra Pathak, IPS, DGP A&N Islands flagged off an awareness rally on road safety from Gandhi Chowk which culminated at PS Car Nicobar.
  • On 03.02.2019, IGP(L&O) visited LOP Tillongchaung alongwith SP(D)Nicobar and SHO Nancowrie to inspect the guard personnel as well as the building and other govt. properties.
  • A “Carnic Super 10 Cricket series” was held on 01.02.19 to 07.02.2019 as a part of community policing. 08 teams participated, the winner of the tournament was Brother XI team of HQ bazaar and runner up team was Tamaloo team.

  • Caution Pamphlet issued & affixed at prominent places drawing attention of fisherman.
  • At PS Nancowry, all the awareness programme/ campaign were successfully completed with zeal and compliments were received from all the villagers as well as the District Administration. Some of the programs conducted recently are: Road safety Rally, Campaign of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Sensitisation Program on Cyber Crimes, Campaign of Operation Smile Phase-II and Beti Bachao & Beti Padao.
  • At PS Campbell Bay, we have conducted several Awareness programmes on Cyber Crime, Crime against women, POCSO, disaster Management and ill effects of alcohol at GSSS C/Bay, GSSS Vijay Nagar, Community Hall, C/Bay, Rajiv Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and Fishermen Colony.
  • Cleanliness drive under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and planting of trees in and around PS Campbell Bay premises is regularly being conducted on every Thursday & Saturday.
  • Due to Strict vigilance, patrolling and alertness of PS Campbell Bay, No theft/Burglary case registered at PS Campbell Bay in last one year, Bootlegging has considerably reduced and Crime against women & Children has reduced.
